CANDACE ISAACS SAUNDERS

In 1980 I was a first year MSW student at Boston College and Candy was my professor. Our entire class seemed as amazed by her empathy and wisdom as was I She had a profound impact on my professional development even more so on my personal development. After graduating Candy became my therapist for 8 years. My life would never have been the same without her help. My children, my family , friends and my clients all benefited from everything I learned from Candy. What a remarkable legacy...

So kind, wise, and energetic! Candy found a smile readily, naturally, and predictably. Her colleagues I knew from serving the deaf community all had such wonderful things to say about her. I shall miss her innately healing presence in our neighborhood.

She was a wonderful colleague and friend--very warm and empathic. So many students in her Human Behavior courses at BU admired her as an instructor and social work role model.
