Candi Lee Lopez, 30, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, died suddenly at her home Sunday, August 1, 2004. Miss Lopez was born September 16, 1973 in Marietta, Ohio and is survived by her mother, Linda Lyons Neely of Myrtle Beach, and her father, Russell J. Lopez, Jr., Clarksburg. Also surviving are her boyfriend, Kevin Jachimowicz, Myrtle Beach; one two year old daughter, Mia Riley; her brother, Mark Riffle and his wife Julie, Columbia, South Carolina; one sister, Sheri Riffle Brown and her husband Tim, Orlando, Florida; her brother Mario Lopez, Pittsburgh; grandmother, Flora Lopez, Clarksburg; several aunts and uncles; and two nephews, Austin Curtis Brown and Preston Levi Brown of Orlando, Florida. She was also preceded in death by her grandparents, Neal and Betty Lyons, and Rudy Lopez. Miss Lopez graduated from Washington Irving High School and was a 1995 graduate of Myrtle Beach Cosmetology School in 1995. She graduated from Florida Metropolitan University in 2001 as a paralegal. She had just been accepted into the nursing program at Horry Technical College after having completed her prequalifying classes with grade point average above necessary. Candi was a loving mother, having devoted her life to raising her daughter and teaching her about life. Family and friends may call at the Davis Funeral Home, One Olen Thomas Drive, Rt. 98, Clarksburg Friday from 6-8pm, where funeral services will be held Saturday, August 14th at 10:00am. Interment will be in the Shinnston Masonic Cemetery, next to her grandma Betty.
