Not sure what to say?

What a great unique artist in his craft Mr Camero was. So thankful to have had him in our lives for such a long time. I’m so sorry to the family and offer you my sincere sympathy. God be with you at this difficult time.

I have been in love with Afo-Cuban music since I first heard it as a small child. I first saw Candido on TV playing six conga as I recall. Then I heard him play on a Tony Bennet album Live at Carnegie Hall. I was hooked and Candido became one of my percussion role models. I send condolences to the family. He had a rich full life and at 77 I hope to continue playing for as long as I am able. I pray for comfort for his family.

Deepest condolences to the Camero family, many, many friends, and fans. Mr. Candido Camero was a percussionist who's considered to be the father of Latin jazz, best known for his conga and bongo drumming. His songs will NEVER be forgotten. May the God of comfort bless your grieving hearts with strength, loving kindness and peace as the world copes with the loss of Mr. Candido Camero. May his music keep his memory alive forever.

My condolences go out to the Camero family. So sorry for your loss. Candid will be missed by the music world.

Please accept my sincere condolences for Candido - A Great Human Being of Spiritual Depth, who paved the way for all of us to keep this tradition of religion, music, drumming and spiritually that dissented from a Continent we currently know as Africa! Until we meet again.

My sincere condolences to the Camero family, so very sorry for your loss. The music will live on

Mark Whitsett Percussionist Extraordinare.
My dad was a Congo player who taught me how to play. He had a full Jazz Collection of great congo players.
My dad had Candido every album ever made. I would listen to my dad practice playing Candido the Latin fire and when my dad would goto work. I would sneak in his albums and take Candido music and play it on my record player and beat on the thick old Websters dictionaries, because I did not have any congos nor bongos.
One day...

Loved him, one of the best drummers ever May he rest in peace

Another music giant has passed away. May God comfort the family at this of sadness. Very sorry for your loss.
