Capt. Murl Edwin Husted Jr.

The Retired Officers Wives and Widows Association would like to extend our condolences on the passing of Capt. Murl Edwin Husted, Jr., USN (Ret.). The association brings together the wives of retired officers, and widows of officers, of the United States Armed Forces for social activities. We meet at local restaurants every second Thursday of the month, September through June. To the families and friends of those who lost their lives in this tragedy, there are no words to convey our sorrow for you during these trying times. May you treasure the memories of your loved ones. Be assured that the God of Comfort has them tucked away in his memory as well and know that with prayer and supplication he will guide you through.

Pat and family, please accept my condolences for your loss of Buzz, my good friend and shipmate of 70 years. I treasure the memories of our good times from our Navy years, flight training, fishing trips, and family visits.

I am sorry to learn that Murl passed away. I was also a member of Company 2 , so we experienced many of the same challenges and struggles. I retain fond memories of Murl and our days at Canoe U. I am sorry for your loss.
