Not sure what to say?

I'm so sorry to hear of Capt. Wayne's passing, he was always a good supporter of the USCG and the missions we did to support the Cuyahoga River. He will be missed.

Bill and Jenny, I am sorry for the loss of your father. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Capt. Bratton is a legend on the Great Lakes. It was an honor and pleasure knowing and working with him on the Holiday ("taking the high side of Carter road!") and on various freighters. You will be missed. Fair winds and following seas Wayne.

It was an honor to get to know Mr. Bratton. He brightened up the therapy gym on a daily basis. I could just sit and listen to him tell stories all day long. He will be greatly missed by the entire VA Therapy staff. I will never, ever forget him.

I first met Wayne when I took over command at the Marine Safety Office in Cleveland in 2002. I immediately recognized Wayne as an asset to our effort to create the region's first Area Maritime Security Plan. Wayne rapidly moved from an asset to a good friend and counselor. I will miss him and his stories!

On behalf of the many Coast Guard members he helped, advised and entertained over the years, I offer our sincere condolences to the family of Captain Wayne Bratton for your loss.

More than a Captain . . . A MENTOR and Friend!
Sail on Capt. Wayne to the heaven above and rest peacefully in God's
Loving arms. Shalom - Patty and Capt. Elliot

With Deepest Sympathy! Captain Bratton was a book of knowledge concerning the Great Lakes especially Lake Erie!

I extend my deepest condolences to the family and friends of Captain Wayne, an irreplaceable individual. May his boat briefings and sécurité calls forever resonate along the banks of the mighty Cuyahoga. Smooth sailing, Captain.
