Joe was one of my brother Larry's best friend's. We met when they were classmates at St Peter's as I was much younger we didn't spend too much time together . We became friends later and shared many good times .He was always generous with his time and wit. I will remember fondly our time together in Lake Placid during the Olympics, playing basketball and skiing. Rest Easy Captain Joe !

So sorry to lose another Hannan. Uncle Joe was always a large presence at our family gatherings. He created unique bonds with many of his nieces and nephews and we will all treasure the memories. RIP Unc!

Good bye to a beautiful, brilliant, talented man...lived the life he wanted.

I never saw Unc without a smile on his face. He somehow always seemed to know of and keep track of his 25 nieces & nephews. Jeremy and Esther I am so sorry for your loss. God Bless.

Joe was always the life of the party! He will forever be missed but left behind some wonderfully funny stories for us to retell!
