Not sure what to say?

Thinking of you Scott and Jean, on this three year anniversary of Hal´s passing. This July will be three years since losing Jim too. You never really get used to it, you just have to move forward. Love you.

My late husband RADM William H. Stewart and I were privileged to be friends and organizational members with Captain Hal over the years. With all Captain Hal's distinct honors and accomplishments for the City of Mobile and Veterans, he still had the God-given gift of making the person who approached him feel they were at that moment the only one in the room! Rest in Peace, Dear Friend.

Sad news about Hal but I am sure he was piped aboard in heaven. He was a true patriot and made a difference in the Mobile community. My time around him was always wonderful!

May he rest in peace!

Mike Sumrall, Major General, US Army Retired and former Adjutant General for Alabama

Wow !!! I was just a kid when I first met the Captain back in the early 80's, @ the Marina River Yacht Basin. My dad George work there for many years. Captain would allow me to fish all day during the summer. Also he would allow me to eat much as I wanted on his boat (Flagship). When he came to work he come out to the pier call the T and check to see what I caught. If fish biting too slow he would yell come on fish !!! With that cigar in corner of his mouth shades and his patriotic cap. He...

May your memories of the wonderful times you shared with your loved ones comfort you and your family, today and always.Thank You Captain Pierce for all of the contributions you have made to the City of Mobile, the State of Alabama, and the United States of America.Hand salute to a great Navy Officer and hero that has been called from the ranks.Godspeed.

Mobile has lost one of it's icons. Capt. Pierce was a great presence in our lives he will be greatly missed. May his memory be eternal.

Mr.Pierce was a true captain of the sea. While fishing, our anchor rope tangled with the rudder. Mr. Pierce didn't hesitate.Clinching a Knife in his teeth he dove into the swift currents of Mobile Bay and took care of business. I stood in awe at his bravery. I will always remember that....
I was a school mate and friend of Scott and Jenny's and it was easy to see the amount of love and respect between Mr.Pierce and his children.
