Not sure what to say?

Dear Carinda's Family,
Sorry to hear about Carinda's passing. My husband and I were raised in Helper and we remember and talk about all the Eaquina's fondly. I worked for Joe and Frank at LaSalle's. We also spent many hours in LaSalle's dancing and enjoyed the entire family. Carinda was a happy person and always made us feel she was glad to see us. Ray and I would be the last to leave and would go out the side door where the stairs are. One night Ray lifted me on his shoulder...

I knew Carinda all my life as my neighbor and friend, she made sure no one left the restaurant hungry.

Gonna miss ya kiddo.

I'll always remember Carinda and the Lasalle restaurant when I was growing up in Helper. I remember seeing Carinda every time we went there, and she was always very friendly. Her cooking was the greatest. May she rest in peace.

Bill and Karen: Carinda was lucky to have such a wonderful family. Sorry for your loss.

Carinda was a wonderful, outgoing, and happy person. She was loved by many in Helper and the surrounding area in Carbon County. I know she will be missed dearly. My condolences to the family.

Carinda, I will miss your smile and good nature. It is sad to see you go but I know you would not have us be forlorn today because of your passing. So we remember you with happiness in our hearts. I never could get enough to eat at the hotel because you wouldn't stop feeding me! I will miss your short ribs and pasta.
Much love, Bill Sharkey

It is with great sadness that I read Carinda had passed on. Everything written about her is true. She was always so friendly and caring, it was like she belonged to your family as well. She will be truly missed by all of the community and her friends. It is, sadly, the end of an era. My condolences to all of her family.

I'M SO SORRY TO READ OF CARINDAS PASSING. SHE WAS A FANTASTIC LADY. THE LASALLE WAS A FUN PLACE TO GO, CARINDA MADE IT THAT WAY BY MAKING EVERYONE WHO ENTERED FEEL SPECIAL. SHE WILL BE DEEPLY MISSED BY THE WHOLE COMMUNITY.

I'm so sorry for your loss, as a young man in the 50's and 60's I still remember going into the LaSalle with my dad and uncle for coffee and Carinda's smile and laugh her and her family were like an institution in Helper that always made thousands of people feel so welcome, a feeling so rare in todays time, I truly believe that many people are now looking back in time recalling all the special times had while in the company of Corinda and her family at the LaSalle.
God bless, and...
