Not sure what to say?

My dad, Kelton Welch, graduated from WFR in 88'. He was deeply sadden to hear of Carl's passing. Ours thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family.

Today my heart aches. Carl Allison, dean of students at White's Ferry Road School of Biblical studies, elder, minister, friend and example, has left this world for his heavenly home. He fought the fight and won the victory in Jesus.

When we moved to West Monroe our apartment had not been cleaned when we got there moving from Fort Worth. Carl came over to help unload on New Years Day, missing the Arkansas game that day, or at least part of it, he ended up cleaning one of the nastiest...

As a young man feeling the calling to serve in the ministry, when my wife and I first came to White's Ferry Road, the spirit of Christ radiated from Carl and, in my opinion, was a spiritual giant. He encouraged Lisa and me both, not just while we were students, but any time we talked with him throughout the years after graduating and pursuing my calling in the ministry. At the end of every phone call, Carl never failed to say five little words that always meant so much to us: "I love you and...

Carl was an inspiration to me. I was a student at White's Ferry Road School of Preaching in the early 70's and he helped me to grow up a be a man. He taught me to never give up..."Inch by inch...it's a cinch...yard by hard it's too hard." After graduating i took a job preaching back in my home, Winston-Salem, NC. He will forever live within me.

Brother Carl Allison was larger than life for the young men under his guidance at White's Ferry Road. I was with him from 1974-1976. I look forward to being with him eternally. He firmly, but lovingly chastised us when we were late for school or when we went to sleep in chapel. He was determined to instill in us the spiritual qualities he had already learned in his life. He wanted to mold us into the highest quality followers of Jesus possible. We never wanted to be called to his office,...

What loving memories we have of a wonderful person! One in particular that still brings a smile to our faces is the time in 1972 when he made a personal overnight visit to encourage us to attend the WFRSOBS. As everyone was settling down for the night, I (Sarah) went down the hall to our young daughter's bedroom where Carl would be sleeping, canopy bed and all, to see if he needed anything. I arrived at the door to find him down on his all-fours putting the slats back in place! The bed...

A dedicated CHRISTIAN and leader. The Lord needed him. My heart goes out to the family. My prayer is peace and happy memories.

Barbara, my Nephew Terry Kinyon of McAlester told me about the passing of Carl. I am so sorry. As you might recall, I went thru 4th to 12th grades in Krebs and McA with both of you. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your Family and Friends.

What a wonderful out pouring of love was shown tonight at visitation. Your family is loved very much. Your dad will be missed.
