BERGLUND, Carl Melvin - Goodbye. On May 2, 2008 friends and family bid farewell to a true local character. He was a devoted son, a loving husband and father, as well as a doting grandfather, affectionately known as "Papa". He loved to travel and made many, many friends both locally and abroad. He will long be remembered by his associates at many of Petaluma's local establishments as the man who paid for a round or two with $2 bills. If you receive one of these as change or pass on as legal tender, pause a moment and remember Carl. He will be missed by all of us. Born June 15, 1942, Carl is survived by his mother Rosalee, his brother Rod, his wife Robin, his children Carl and Glynnis and their spouses Susanne and Ted, and grandchildren Eleni and Dimitri. At his request no services will be held. Funeral arrangements under the direction of ADOBE CREEK FUNERAL HOME, 331 Lakeville St., Petaluma. CHEDA & LYONS - Directors 707-789-9000

Not sure what to say?

Robin and family:
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all... Remeber all the good times and the fun times....The heavens have a new star looking down on you all.... Bless you, Anneice and Jack Capurro

We'll always have our memories of a special friend. Your family has been like part of our own. The times we spent together went too fast; but Carl will always be part of our future gatherings in spirit.

Always in our thoughts, Scott and Dee

Dear Robin and Family,

Carl was a character for sure. I never tired of listening to his stories while walking down the frozen food aisle of Safeway.

Loving thoughts and prayers are being sent your way.
