Not sure what to say?

Dear Kathryn and all the "Brinks",

I just heard of Carl's passing this morning ~ I am so sorry. As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life’s routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

Carl was a valued member of the Mathematics Department and a beloved teacher here at Millikin University. On behalf of the entire Mathematics Department, I offer our heartfelt condolences.

I would like to extend my deepest sympathy to Mrs. Brink and all of the Brink family. I have very fond memories of Mr. Brink and of the time I spent with all of you. You are in my prayers.

Thinking of you Kathryn. Mom told me about Carl this morning as I had been out of town for a wedding. My Dad and Carl were great friends growing up and Dad always spoke highly of him. Carl was an excellent teacher and could explain math so his students could understand and apply the principles. I really enjoyed working with him at the DMH Thrift Shop and loved Carl's sense of humor. Please accept my condolences and remember all those lives Carl touched.

Mr. Brink was my alegbra teacher at EHS from 85-87. I really enjoyed his class. He was a great teacher and made math easy to approach. I haven't spoken with him since then, but it's nice to see how he's affected others. Sorry for your loss.

Mr. Brink was the perfect role model of what a high school teacher
should be like....firm, insightful,
sense of humor, demanding yet leading and chocked full of "class". He put many students out into the world with the proper training.

Mr. Brink taught me Algebra at Eisenhower H.S. He was a great teacher and I respected him very much.

Mr. Brink was one of my teachers in Centennial Junior High School. This was back in the early 1950s. He was a great teacher, patient, had a good sense of humor and was always available to the students. I was looking thru my old year books, 1952-1954 and found a lot of pictures of a very young Carl Brink and it brought back lots of memories. Even tho I have not had any contact with him since my junior high school days I did not forget him and was sadden to hear of his passing.

Your Father was one of those people who has positively affected my life to this day. My sympathies are with you.
