Dr. Burkhead: What a great teacher you are!!!!

Carl Burkhead was a true lover and disciple of Jesus Christ, as his humility, compassion, and sincere faith showed. We should all have the fruit that he had in his life. Thank you, Carl, for your friendship and love. My deepest condolences to Joyce and her family, although I know that they are rejoicing that Carl is in the presence of our Savior Jesus Christ.

Dr Carl Burhead was one of best professors I have ever known. I learned so much about life and kindness from him. Once, I was in my office, it was an afternoon and a rainy day. He came to my office and asked for a bucket and rope. I totally got confused. I asked him what he was going to do with these things. He told me that 2 or 3 kittens have been taken by the flow of rainwater into a manhole on 23rd Street and he wanted to rescue them. I searched the lab and project sites and found a...

Carl was one of the most encouraging, affirming and uplifting person that I have ever known. I will miss him.

To Joyce and Family, I am so sorry for the loss of your outstanding husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was an amazing God-fearing man, who showed and expressed his Christian values and commitment to Christ to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. I pray that you will now be comforted that he is now with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ in heaven.
