I miss you dad. I joined the Air Force now and am doing great. I've met many people since you've passed away and there is one person that I care for deeply and would protect with my life. She's made my life a lot brighter, I wish you could've met her. I've done things I'm not proud of but I've gotten better and will make you proud of me. I met Carl a couple of years ago because of his goals and dreams to go to college. I helped him through the process and we had many conversations of a past that was just that, and a future that was bright and prosperous. Carl was a good guy with a lot of heart. I am honored to have known him during a very positive and rewarding time in his life. I will miss him, my prayers are with his family.

Charlene my prayers go out to you and your family. Carl and my son Charles were good friends while attending Cleveland School of the Arts. I will always remember Carl as a fun loving kid. Stay Strong.
