Not sure what to say?

Dear Betty,

I have been thinking about you and Carl all summer. Finally I went to the Observer Obits and learned that you had lost Carl in March. I am happy for the time you had together and for all the doors you opened for each other. Can you sing barbershop vocals yet. No doubt you can.

All my love,

Gaile Patrick

Dear Betty,
Barbara has told us what a wonderful celebration you had at Christ Episcopal for Carl and afterwards. I'm glad to know that you are surrounded by family and good friends to help you learn to live again. I'm sorry for your loss.

It is so comforting to read all of these lovely things about my father from many whom I have never met. He was a wonderful man with a warm and loving heart who could do and would do anything for anybody. He will be missed by so many of us. Our love and thoughts go to Betty and the rest of our family and friends who will feel the great void which has been left with his passing. May he rest in peace. With much love, Teresa - his youngest daughter.

Betty,

I am so sorry for your loss. I was blessed to have had the chance to work with Carl at The Scottish Bank. He was one of the most upbeat, happy employees that we ever had. I valued his ideas, advice and, especially, his humor over the many years that we worked together.

So very sorry for your loss Betty. Carl was greatly loved and will be missed. Our love to you. God bless.

Betty,

you are in our thoughts and prayers. We'll miss Carl but glad we got the chance to know him. I always enjoyed his humor and his stories. We have fond memories of your trips to visit us in NY and hope that you will come again and often.

Hugh Sigmon

Carl was a joy and wonderful part of our family. You two have been such a fun-loving pair and a delight for me to know and admire in my first 31 years. My thoughts and prayers are with you and yours, Betty. May his humor and charm continue to shine brightly on all of us.

Betty, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I consider myself blessed to have met you both. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Aunt Betty, words can never express how sorry we are for your loss. We are sending you our love, prayers and many hugs. Uncle Carl was and always will be such a blessing to every person he knew and we count ourselves lucky to be among those people. We love you.
