Not sure what to say?

Many experiences were shared at Chateau Lake Louise by Carl Dowd Maitre'd and William ( Bill) Burdett ( AGT/Telus) all with one goal.. to make the Chateau the best.
Carl was a Classic who demanded excellence but with a huge heart and great humour. Shared many dinners at his table alongside Banff Springs Pro Malcolm Tapp. Regrets to All.

We worked with Carl at Chateau Lake Louise in the mid 70s and will always remember his strong character, his love of good fun, and his kind nature. He was certainly an icon at the Chateau!

In 1977 I was working as a cashier in the main dining room of Chateau Lake Louise and Carl was the Maitre. I remember so clearly the day that he was having dinner with Lee Majors (the “Six Million Dollar Man” star). I am sure he must have had many opportunities to meet lots of famous people.
He was a very nice man.

Carl was a good friend for the past 50 years and Lynda and I are truly saddened at the news of his passing. I worked with Carl at the Banff Springs Hotel during the early 60s and he remained a good friend since then. He will be missed by many.

I was sorry to read of the passing of my good friend Carl Dowd...We became close friends when he was at Chateau Lake Louise..
