Carl Mark  Ferrara

Carl was one of my coworkers at EGHS. He taught a writing class on the computers in my business room. It was obvious that he loved his students and was always encouraging them to do their best. He spent hours correcting their work with his red pen. My condolences to his family.

I graduated in 2007 from EGHS and took several of Mr. Ferrara's writing classes. He was truly one of the most inspiring and passionate teachers from whom I've had the privilege to learn (including undergraduate and graduate professors). I remember Mr. Ferrara's stance that no writing piece was ever truly perfect, so I received countless 99.4% grades (so it would round down to a 99 and not up to a 100.)
