Carl C. Hall III, 21, Elkhart, died Thurs. July 18, 2013 in Newberg Twp. Cass County, Mich. He was born Aug. 8, 1991 in Mishawaka, to Carl C. Hall Jr. and Sheri (Culp) Owen. Surviving are his mother & step-father, Sheri (John) Owen, Elkhart, brother, M. Preston (Katie) Hall, Patterson, Calif. and John Michael Owen II, Elkhart, sister, Janelle Owen, Elkhart, grandmother, Sharon Stolz, Elkhart, aunts, Fawn (Toby) Maxwell, Michigan City, and Kim Williamson, Goshen and uncle, Neal (Barb) Hall, Wisc. Preceding him in death are his father, Carl C. Hall Jr. and his paternal grandfather, Carl Cornilius Hall, grandmother, Mabel Hall and maternal grandfather, Thomas Culp. Carl worked at Schultz Appraisals, as an administrative assistant and previously at Encore Cinemas, both of Elkhart. He was a 2010 graduate of Elkhart Memorial High School where he was a member of the National Honor Society, National Poet Society and Editor of Genesis. He was a avid Detroit Lion and Michigan football fan; an amateur gardener and movie maker; enjoyed standup comedy and loved writing stories. Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Tues. July 23, 2013 at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Home, 311 S. Main St., Goshen. The service will be 2 p.m. Wed. July 24, 2013 at Calvary Assembly of God, 1010 E. Mishawaka Road, Elkhart. Pastor Brian Whidden will officiate and burial will be in Violett Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Relay for Life or United Cancer Services of Elkhart County, or to the family. I went to school with Carl all my life. He was one of the best friends I ever had. He was one of the only people who was a true friends growing up. I still miss him 4 years later. May this man Rest In Peace!
