Read MoreI feel privileged to have known Carl for over 40 years. He was my farrier and, more than that, he was my friend and mentor on the subject of horses. We shared a love and understanding of horses (and other animals), and a respect for their intelligence. I always refused to call him "Bum" because he was such a fine gentleman, one who is missed.

Carl (Bum) was a great mentor to me. He spent so much time with me and my horse. He was patient, kind and understanding. We appreciate him so much and was blessed that he was in our life. We are forever grateful to him and Bernie!
