Warren , (We never called him "Carl" ) and I were cousins, he being 5 or 6 yrs younger than I. We frequently played together in West Pullman, in the far south side of Chicago. We lived about 3 miles apart, every summer one of us moved to the other's home. Then in 1945, Martha and I were greatly flattered by having Warren lead his 4 piece band at our wedding celebration .
