Not sure what to say?

We just met Carl at a friends cookout with mutual friends on August 17th. Carl was very outgoing and funny and my Husband and I really liked him and looked forward to seeing him again. It was a great shock to hear of his passing as he was so healthy and young looking. We are older by 5 years and were saddened. Our sympathy goes out to his family and friends and our prayers.

As Linda Hemmes said, Hoot was an honorary member of our family. I remember so much of him when I was young. He was another brother to me. Always considered just one of us. We all will miss him. Bless all of his family.

Hoot was a 45 year honorary member of the Haller Family. If the truth were told - we were honored to be a part of his life. He was kind, honest, compassionate, loyal - everything you could ever hope for in a true friend. He stood with us in the most difficult of times and laughed with us in happy times. We loved him . We truly loved him. Rest in peace, Hoot. I hope you and my Mom & Dad can laugh at the good times, play many hands of 99 and watch over us who will miss you until we meet...

Hoot

There aren't any words that I can say to you all to express my heart felt sympathy. Hoot was a very special person. I will miss him so much - my very best friend and a wonderful man.

To the Heck family,
I am very sorry for your loss. I went to school with Carl, starting with first grade. I lived on the south side also. He was always a kind person.
