Not sure what to say?

My father David Lane was a home builder in Charlotte NC and our families were friends. I have special memories of Skip's Jaguar E-Type convertible, a dark British racing green if memory serves. What a fantastic car. They are amongst the best people to be friends with. I was going through old pictures and ran across one of me and my wife before we were married taken on the deck of their Beech Mountain cabin. I believe it was Wendy who is in the picture with my wife. Beautiful sunny day...

I live in a house in Charlotte that Carl built in 1979. Solid home by a solid man.

I am so sorry to just learn of Carl's passing today. He and I did many a deal together over the years. I first met "Waldo" of Where's Waldo at the Christmas party he and Jane hosted in their home one year. I have many fond memories of time spent with Carl. My condolences to the family! Don Passenger

Way back in the late 80s or early 80s Carl was instrumental in helping me start my GC business. I purchased his book how to build a home and built my very 1st spec home using his book as my guide. I had no experience and he was extremely helpful. I'll always remember him and his book for how much it helped me. My deepest condolences and sympathies along with many prayers for you all.

To Mrs. Heldmann and Family: Carl and I left LeMoyne in 1962 to adventure across the country to San Jose. Carl was invited to California by his Uncle Bob Simmonds. We lived on the edge of the San Jose Country Club. At the end of summer, I hitched to Eugene and then started a tabloid newspaper in Portland. I have searched for years for contact with Carl. The sad obit tells me he remained in San Jose, graduated there, and accomplished great things. You may have visited Syracuse. I live in...

Jane and Family, Accidentally read Skip´s obit since I live in Florida. So sorry to hear of his passing. Skip and I were best friends at John T. Roberts, Most Holy Rosary and LeMoyne College. In HS I helped him deliver his father´s prescriptions and he taught me to drive on his Dad´s " delivery" car. We frequently partied, picnicked, and had all kinds of great times together. I was so glad when he told me about his family ad how much he loved you all. It sounds as if he continued his happy...

Heldmann's Pharmacy was my life as a teenager and knew Skip from there. His Dad was very good to me. Skip came from a terrific family.

Our family were great friends with the Heldmanns when he ran his drug store on Onondaga St. so sorry to hear of skips passing. Condolences to his family.

My sister, Jane, and I wish to extend our sincere sympathy. Both of us are Rosarians. Skip and I both worked for Carl Sr. At the pharmacy.
