Not sure what to say?

ah, this popped up on my screen,
It was nice to remember Mr. Hesse, but , of course, I will never forget him, a larger than life principal at Southern Boulevard elementary school (in the 60s!), the convertible, Lisa being born, a good friend to my father...
I remember being called down to the principal's office once... with a few of my friends... for something good, and wow, we were awestruck to be in Mr. Hesse's office! I mean, AWESTRUCK:)

To the family of Dr. Hesse:
I belatedly learned of the passing of Dr. Hesse. I am grateful that I knew him and had the privilege of working with him. Under his guidance-our school became the envy of the teachers in the surrounding school districts. He touched many lives and will live on in our memories.

Dear Jean, Chip, Todd, Eric, Lisa and family,
Hello. I was so sorry to hear of Carl's (Mr. Hesse always to me)passing.
Jean, it was so great to see you and Carl at my Dad's 80th birthday celebration. You probably remember us going on about how great we thought Mr. Hesse was back in the old Southern Boulevard days. He was a larger than life school principal to us kids;we all thought he was the greatest. That voice, that convertible, Lisa being born, the "Farewell Goodbye Mr. Hesse"...

Carl,
I am so very sorry to hear about the loss of your Father. May all the good memories get you through this time of grief and know that there are people out there who will keep you in their thoughts and prayers.

I knew Carl through the Rotary Club of Wolfeboro..He always was the life of the Club and collected Happy Dollars in his jovial way. I last saw him at John and Ethel Clarke, and as usual he made me feel good. I will miss him as he was a role model.

Nonnie, We were so sad to hear of Poppie's passing, but are thankful that he did not suffer and that he is now in a better place- no pain, no sadness, no sickness, just glory! You and the rest of the Hesse family are in our thoughts and prayers. We love you very much and hope we get to see you soon! Dani, Natalie, and Will Ezelle

Jean & Family:
All of us were saddened to hear of Carl's death. Not only was he a major contributor to the education of thousands of students in Palmerton. He was also a tremendous civic leader, a good churchman, a wonderful family man, a great storyteller and a terrific friend.
The friendship and help he gave my father (and late mother as well) will always be appreciated by Mark, Bob and me. I know Dad would love to attend the memorial service, but is unable to leave Wesley Village...

Dear Jean, Chip, Todd, Eric, Lisa, and all the family ...

On behalf of my Dad, Pastor Jim Laubach, and my brothers Jim Jr. and Bob, we send you our heartfelt condolences on the passing of your dear husband and father, and our friend, Carl. He was much loved and greatly respected by all of us in the Laubach family ... and a great blessing to the Palmerton Area School District and the entire community. Our parents were so grateful for the friendship they shared with you and for...

Dear Jean and Family,
I just re-read Carl's thank you note he sent on April 30, 1976 after we had presented our "Happy Birthday, America" Spring concert @ PAHS. What a thoughtful, supportive thank you it was. It meant so much to me during my first permanent job as a vocal music teacher in the Palmerton School District. I do remember teaching both Lisa and Todd ('71 thru '77)and Jean,I think the Creitz's may have introduced us? Please accept my my deepest sympathy in your loss of your...
