Not sure what to say?

Carl was one of the most generous and kind people ever. His positive energy and love of life will always leave a lasting impression. Condolences to the family and friends.

Although we never met formally I feel like we have been friends for a long time. I'll miss our fun conversations, the many cards we shared and all the great stories about the Coalyard. Rest in peace my friend until we meet someday.

To Carl´s family, I send my sincere condolences during this time of sorrow. My late husband, Don Barber, was employed as an electrical inspector at Atlantic Inland for many years. He always felt valued by Carl, who appreciated his work ethic and knowledge. Don and I were both grateful for Carl´s respect and sense of humor. May Carl´s legacy live on.

Uncle Carl´s legacy is laughter, generosity of spirit and his love for the Sprouse family. You are a community hero, steadfast in your commitment for supporting Truxton and its history.

Carl was a great man. We had the pleasure at getting to know Carl over these last three years. He was always there with a great story to tell everyone, and giving advice when needed. Our nightly talks will surly be missed at the Coal Yard. Rest in Pease Carl.

Carl will definitely be missed by all who knew him. He definitely always left us laughing with all his stories & I´ll never forget the times we shared at the Coalyard. I always loved the story ab him giving the sermon at the church.

All of us are going to miss Carl. He was quite the storyteller and had a great sense of humor. He always left us laughing and we will never forget his smile.

Very sorry to hear about Carl. He was a wonderful man and I greatly appreciated him. I am flying home on August 13 and will not be able to attend. But I will be thinking of him and all the contributions he made in his life.
