He was such a good man, I will always have wonderful memories of Mr. Johnson from my time at Southie High

When Carl died, South Boston High lost a great teacher, the BC High class of '62 lost it heart and soul, St. John's lost a compassionate St. Vincent de Paul member, the city lost a great historian and storyteller, and I lost a great friend./Joe Galeota

Met Carl through Mass Marine Educators and Harbor Explorations. Wonderfull memories out on the water.

I first met Carl several years ago at one of the monthly parent coffee mornings at the British International School of Boston, where he was affectionately known as the BISB Grandpa. He was a regular fixture at those coffee mornings, appreciated by everyone, and always had something interesting to say. I'm sure he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

It has been over 33 years since I graduated from Southie High and I will ALWAYS be grateful that he recommended me for a high school internship, which then became my career early on even though he was never a direct teacher of mine. He opened doors. He inspired. He supported. He will be missed. Thanks for everything, Mr. Johnson. With tremendous respect, Jeannie (Ennis) French

To Linda and all Carl's Family, Please accept my condolences and promise of prayers for Carl and all of you who leave him behind. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed rest in peace. He will be greatly...

Sort to hear about this! He was part of the St. Vincent DePaul Association at St John´s when I had volunteered my time. He was a wonderful person. The world needs more like him.

Linda & family! I´m sorry to hear about the passing of Carl. We worked together at South Boston High from 1974, until his retirement. Since retiring myself in 2016, I would see him on occasions in West Roxbury, and we´d have great conversations. RIP Mr Carl Johnson, you will be missed by many.
