Carl Burton Jones

Although it has been many years since Pastor Carl passed, my wife and I still remember him (and Josephine) will fondness. As others have noted, he seemed as gentle as the Lord Himself, which is something we can all hope to be thought of us when we are gone. His Bible lessons were a pleasure to hear. I took him to lunch one day in downtown Portland. We put his walker in the back of the truck. I was impressed that he was game for such an outing. We miss both Carl and Josephine.

Carl was my pastor from 1st-12th grade, and made a huge impact on my life and faith. He was a blessing to all of us for so many years. To the family--thank you for sharing him with us and for all of your ministry through Grace Baptist Church that changed our lives in positive ways. My thoughts are with you as you grieve. Becky

What a wonderful blessing it's been to have known Carl over the years and to experience the love and kindness you have both shown to me, my family and my church family. You have truly been servants of God. It was Carl who came to the hospital in the very early hours of the morning and prayed with Russ and helped him peacefully slip into heaven so many years ago.
