Not sure what to say?

I was blessed to be Carl's sister-in-law. He came to visit his big brother many times. We always enjoyed his visits, whether it was in Utah for skiing or Arizona for astronomy. He was a good brother and brother-in-law. When Carl visited he and his big brother reminisced about all the good places they remembered in Elyria, talked skiing or built telescopes together. He and his brothers all served in the Armed Forces. Carl often talked about the time he served in Germany and still...

Here is a picture of my uncle Carl at age 10 from my parents photo albums. There is a bit of a tear in the photo at the top of his head, but I think he looks really cute and I hope you all like seeing it.

I'm the daughter of Jean (nee Kelley) and Eugene Klembeck. My family moved from Ohio to California when I was 3 years old, but Carl has visited us in California and we have visited him in Ohio. He was always a very nice person. I will greatly miss his emails and phone calls.

Thank you for your brave service to our country ! God Bless

I am so sorry to hear that Carl has passed. He was a very nice , sweet man. I know that dad really liked him, they had some great conversations at our parties.

I’m sorry for your loss. Carl was a very kind and giving man. He always made me giggle during golf. A good golfer too!

Carl was a dear friend of the Milam family for many years. We considered him family. He was always included in holiday dinners and special occasions. He made a telescope years ago for my late husband and it is a prized possession. He will be missed and never forgotten.

I was one of carl’s friends at General Motors and yes he had a lot of stories

I will always remember our trips to the Black Forest Star Party and our rounds of golf at Coudersport Golf Club. Carl and I were kindred spirits in our love of astronomy, golf and skiing. I will certainly miss him.

Carl Kelley, 2005 Astronomy Day

Carl Kelley, an honorary Life Member of the Cuyahoga Astronomical Association, not only loved astronomy but gave of his time to share that affection. One wonderful example was witnessed at an Astronomy Day public event in 2005. Carl had set up a telescope, equipped with a safe solar viewing filter, on a very low stand -- it was intended to enable youngsters to use a good telescope. A photo captured Carl gently guiding a child to the telescope's eyepiece says much about that fine man.
