Carl Langford was not only a great man but a visionary, The present Orlando International airport was his baby and should be named after him. He also initiated the establishment of Disneyland in Orlando. The Disney Management respected him and welcomed the chance to have a foothold in Orlando . Mr Langford's vision changed not only Orlando but Florida for the millions of tourists who have been flocking to Orlando.

Tom and Pam, our condolences to you and your family in the loss of your Dad. Although we did not know him personally, we feel connected to him because we live in the house that he built many years ago. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.

Carl was a wonderful and caring man. Dr. Neil Powell would bring him to our hunting camp so he could enjoy good food,friends his brandy and cigar. He would always find something in our camp fire that he needed to get out and would get on his knees and pull out what he wanted with his cane. He would tell Dr. Powell to be quiet telling his jokes so he cold tell some of his jokes. I will never forget Mayor Langford and his patience and kindness to me when I was a very young "Miss Orlando". My sincere condolences to the Langford family in the loss of such a beloved member of their family and indeed to the whole city. Delta Burke

What a wonderful Mayor and all around nice man. It was my great pleasure to call him boss for 14 yrs. My sincere sympathies to his family. I remember that walking stick I carved for him at his cabin in Maggie Valley many years ago.

A good and great man passed away leaving a legacy of compassion and love for this country. will be dearly missed.

How lucky we, the citizens of Orlando; and we, the employees of Orlando; were to have had the opportunity to know and work for this wonderful man. Orlando has and always will benefit from his vision. Godspeed, Mr. Mayor.
