Carl Leestma

I had Mr.Leestma for shop my junior and senior year..he was one of my favorites. My best memory.. when he got on me about grinding off a half inch of a peice of oak in the planner and the machine came to a grinding halt. My thoughts and prayers for the family.

Dear Leestma Family,
My heart grieves with you at your loss and I pray God's comfort and peace be yours. I have many good memories of Carl as we worked together at Baxter Community Center. He was always willing to help. He smiled a lot and often a joke to tell me. I miss him even more now. May God's grace be with all of you. Henry Salley

My prayers are with you. Mr. Leetsma was my favorite teacher at Wyoming Park High. Even after I graduated I always visited him while he and I were still working at Park. I was very sorry to hear about such a great loss.

My sympathy and prayers to the Leestma family. Mr. Leestma was one of my favorite teachers throughout high school and made such a positive influence in my life. I still have the projects that we made together in shop class. He will always be fondly remembered.

I met Carl during the time that he worked at Baxter Community Center. He spoke often of his many year of teaching, building beautiful pieces from wood, his loving family and his faith in God.
