Not sure what to say?

I joined the Navy the summer right after high school, in lieu of getting drafted into Uncle Sams Army. One thing led to another and two and a half years later I was living in BC Canada. I missed out on a lot of coming of age adventures with old school buddies, but from what I understand "Teacher Linde" had quite a bit of contact with the "Bulldogs" from the class of 68! I missed that. What I didn´t miss was the everlasting impact that, my exceptional biology teacher and extraordinarily good...

Carl was a brilliant mentor, leader, and teacher. The impact he left in our lives continues to ripple through the world. In gratitude for his life and service. I Carl and Jan. The were some of the GREATS!

I learned so much in Biology and Advanced Biology. Mr. Linde inspired all students to excel in his classes in a most natural way. Some classmates I knew worked harder in his classes than any others simply because they wanted to.

Mr. Linde's eyes used to just sparkle with knowledge and wit! It was the only class I earned points in for the questions I asked :) I think of him fondly often and remember those I was in Advanced Biology class with and our trip to California. We found a new species of crab when on our dig in Coalinga, County, CA as well as a few live scorpions, giant fossilized oyster shells, and so much more! Biology was one of my favorite subjects thanks to Mr. Linde. Gary and I went to some of the...

Mr. Linde was one of my favorite teachers at Foster. Fun, engaging, inspirational and smart. I loved his biology class and was thrilled to be a biology assistant! He did great things for all he taught. Thank you Mr. Linde for being there for us kids.

My deepest sympathy to his family.

Gail Hoskin McLain, class of '61

I send my heart felt condolences to all family and friends of Mr. Linde. I am one of so very many students inspired by Mr. Linde, grateful I took Advanced Biology. He had the most respect for questions and those who asked him in his class. All of my sisters and I had him for one of our favorite teachers. EVER. He actually conducted his class on a points system which for whatever reason students not doing so well in other classes understood and understood that he cared for the success of...

On mt La Cross on advanced biology trip

On our advanced biology trip across the Olympics on mt La Cross

Mr. Linde was that kind of teacher that was in touch with his students and it was impossible to not like the man. He had the ability to make you want to find the answers to his questions and with those answers, doors would open, leading to other avenues of absolute wonderment.
Mr. Linde gave me an everlasting appreciation of all the diversity that makes our biosphere what it is, and seeing and understanding that we are all part of an amazing Dynamic Equalibrium, that he opened our eyes,...
