My Sympathy To Martha And Family On The Loss Of Gene. I Lived Down The Street From The Masons In Argyle On Charyl Lynn Dr And Got To Know Martha Right Away. You Were Such A Loving Neighbor And Made Me And My Family Feel Very Welcome. Thank You For All You Did And For Your Friendship. GOD BLESS!

I have been friends with the Mason family since I was a little girl....Frannie and I played together, and Gene worked at my Dads drugstore in Waco.. Then our children played together as young children..Many fond memories with all the Masons and his Mom was such a beautiful, gracious person...So sorry to read of his death....Fondly Linda Hollingsworth Miller.

I have known Gene since around 1950, We rode motor cycles together in Waco. He had a Harley & later a Matchless, I had Matchless & AJS. We rode a lot of trails in Cameron Park. I also remember him playing trombone in the Waco High School band.
He has gone for that last trail ride in the sky.

I have known Gene since around 1950. We were teenagers then, riding motor cycles together in Waco. He rode a Harley and also a Matchless, I rode Matchless & AJS. We rode trails in Cameron Park. Lots of fun. So he has gone to that great trail ride in the sky.

I had the privilege of taking care of Gene for several years. He could always make you laugh with his comments and his crooked smile. We watched many hours of in the Heat of the Night and talked about all the interesting things he has done. We shared a love for dogs and he became buddies with my dog. She looked forward to seeing him in the nursing home and at his house. He will be missed.

I worked for Gene at Jet Fleet in Dallas back in 79-80.
I credit Gene for giving me my big break into jets, which proved to be my gateway to a great aviation career. But without his care, confidence, and mentoring, it would have never happened. His personality exuded a gentle kindness, with a Texas kick. Will always miss you Gene. God Bless.
