Read MoreSorry I missed Carl's funeral, as I would like to have paid my respects. Carl was my Manager at Vanderbilt and he liked for me to bring him BBQ when I was cooking some. We talked a lot about fishing, and he was a great manager.

Carl and I worked together for several years. He was honest and hard working and an all-around nice guy. He cared about doing a good job and cared very much for his employees. I know that everyone who knew him and worked with him at Vanderbilt will miss his presence, his smile and his laugh. Rest in peace, Carl. We miss you but know you're in a much better place.
