Not sure what to say?

He was such a handy person, probably could fix just about anything!

Jonathan & Carol Moyer loved getting to know our dear daughter-in-law's (Merry Owyang Moyer) grandfather, Carl J. Nordstrom III he was quirky and yes he knew how to fix just about anything if not everything!

This is so late I almost said no to writing it. But Carl was just too wonderful a man not to write it.

I met Carl the first day I came to work at Boeing. (1982) He was definitely a character. I always said, in Carl's case, you should do as he does, not as he says.

I had a wonderful time with our luncheons and Hal and I had a great time with Carl and Ginger, who had the patience of God to endure Carl's hobbies. We loved Ginger's Christmas trees but Carl's always left his with a...

This past Friday, It was my profound pleasure to acquire his 1987 Jaguar XJ6 Van DerPlas Series III at Mecum Auctions. He donated it to the Lemay Museum. It is now in the hands of a collector that is restoring it the way he had it when judged in 2006.

Karen, Dori and Christy: I met your father in WW2 basic training [Farrigut, Id.], October 1943; and later we were roommates at UW in House "N" for 4-semesters V-12 Program. By Dec '44 he elected to sign onto 4-year Navy Reserve while I decided for active duty and returned to civilion life May '46. For the next nearly 70 years we have stayed in touch thru his visits to palo Alto and my visits to Seattle. His humor, love of family and everything about boats, and enthusiasm for life are a lasting...

Carl was a wonderful friend to my father Norman , I remember sitting around listening to their stories of Seattle . He would visit us many times here in Carlsbad , driving a jaguar I thought that was really cool. He has true friend in heaven .
My Mother is sad to hear of Carls passing and sends heartfelt prayers to the family.
Seattle has lost a good man. He will be missed greatly.

So glad to have been able to visit with my dear Godfather before his journey home. He was such a huge part of our lives and he exemplified living fully while he was here with us. Love and prayers to the family always.

Jack was a Shipmate aboard the USS Harry E. Hubbard during the Korean War as LTjg. He attended many reunions, and was a big part of our reunions. From all the Shipmates of the USS Harry E. Hubbard DD748.

I remember well the first time I met Carl on December 15, 1965, nearly a half century ago at Boeing Plant II when I was a UW ROTC Electrical Engineering student and later a fellow Electrical Engineer and fellow Engineering Alumni officer. Carl was a mentor and friend. We worked together on the Boeing 737 and 747 programs functional test Equipment Engineering group. My Wife and I attended many of his birthday parties where he would light off the canon in his yard. Carl will be missed.
