My condolences to the Nordwall family in the loss of our brother,Carl.The lessons that he shared with young firefighters will not be forgotten as they mentor "their probies" in years to come.

Carl was a good,kind man. Our condolences for your loss.

Carl was a very special person to Donnie and I, he was a wonderful person and a great member and leader in the American Legion Riders, Post 49, Smithfield, Va. We will miss him so much with all of his joking and hugs and kisses. He truly enjoyed being around people, and was always making us laugh. He will always be a part of us, as he left a great impression in each of us.

To the family of Capt Carl Nordwall, I would like to express the "deepest sympathy from me amd my family. I knew and worked with Carl for 10 plus years, at Norfolk International Fire department. He was a "kind, caring and devoted person". He would give you the shirt off his back, if needed.

Carl was a dedicated professional who truly loved the fire service and served as a mentor to many young firefighters both in Va.Beach and at Norfolk Airport. He was a friend to everyone and always willing to help anyone in need. Carl will be truly missed.
