After all these years, I still remember the good times I shared with my friend Carl in the first grade at Pacolet Elementary School. My prayers are with his family as they remember his passing. Jimmy Carrigan

When I was in the first grade at Pacolet Elementary, Carl and I became best friends. We used to race each other to see who was the fastest. Once, when it was very cold, Carl gave me is "stocking cap" to wear home; although I returned it the next day, it showed what kind of person he was. We never saw each other's color, we just accepted one another as friends.
Although we lost touch, I've often thought of those good times.
