My family grew up with Carl's kids. When we were little kids someone was stealing all the bikes in our neighborhood. One night Carl slept in their carport to protect their bikes and/or catch the thief. I thought he was the coolest, bravest dad ever! So much of my childhood involved the Peters family. I wouldn't have wanted it any other way.

I'm glad I got to join Carl at the Ballard High 60 year reunion and 80 year birthday celebrations. We were classmates at Ballard High.
