Carl, My Cancer brother, my spiritual friend, and confidant. I just learned today of your passing. My heart hurts. I will miss our extended talks and the comfort of our friendship. May God embrace you and keep you until we meet again. Deepest condolences to the family. I share in your loss of such a loving and caring father, brother, uncle and friend.

May God comfort, keep and bless you during this bereavement time for the loss of my absolutely most favorite English Teacher. I thank God for his wisdom bestowed and his loving, caring, yet firm- no nonsense heart for me and as well as the body of students at HHS. I will always remember the nuggets! God is with you all! Rest Mr. Phillips, take your rest Kind Sir!

An expression of sympathy to the family of our beloved classmate Carl Phillips. We don't always know what the plan is, but we always know there's a plan. Jan 17, 2022 a few of the classmates that we were able to contact met on a Zoom meeting and Carl joined in, not knowing we were saying goodbye for now. Nothing loved is ever lost, because memories remain and love lives on. Rest in Peace. Class of 1962 - Emanuel County High School.

Rest well, Carl! It is difficult for me to believe you have gained your wings already! We have had so much fun in the past, working at HHS, hanging out , and spending time with our families. You will be missed. Another one of my brothers is in Glory. The family has my sincere condolences and Carl you will be missed.
