Carl Raymond Popek, 64, a retired American Airlines employee, passed away peacefully Saturday, July 30, 2005, at his home after a courageous battle with cancer.
Funeral: 10 a.m. Tuesday, St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, North Richland Hills. Burial: Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park....

Carl was always a special close cousin. Growing up I would bug him to see his model airplanes and trains. We wrote while he was in the Navy and I was thrilled when he married my cousin Fran from my dad's side. Their visit to MN was special and I hope the holy water from Rome at the end gave him some peace. We will keep Fran, Carl and family in our prayers at this difficult time and will cherish the memories of his life with us.
