Not sure what to say?

I am another person who will miss Bro. Rea. A very sweet, nice broad smiling man, godly & joyous. Each year for a few yrs now he and I would tell each other "Happy Birthday, birthday buddy" What a big feast he has now and a better cake than I I'm sure.

Dear Marlyn,
My prayers and thoughts are with you in your sadness and separation from Bro. Rea. He was an inspiration to all who knew him, and he was indeed blessed to have you as his loving wife. May God bless you in the days ahead.(Ps.147:3)
Love,

A faithful pastor, husband, grandfather and friend. Tell Jesus how much I love Him.

Berean Valentine part at the Tower Club 2013

Pastor Carl Rea was a Godly man. He & his wife have been guests in our house many times. He was first a dedicated servant of the Lord. He was my Sunday School preacher at Berean Baptist Church,on Norton Road,Springfield, MO. He always had a kind smile. I just knew in my heart he really cared about me and my husband. He loved all people just like he loved us. I cried all through the evening church service because I was told that he had died when I first went into the auditorium. I froze. I...

Carl was there when my father passed on John E Rea, they were buds and kin. I thought so much of Carl, and never told him so. Thanks for being with Dad.

My love and prayers go out to Pastor Rea's family, who are all so special to me. By seeing how his children and grandchildren were impacted by Pastor Rea's consistent love of and devotion to Christ and the example he set for his family, he had an impact on me even at a distance. May God bless you all.

Bro Rea was indeed a Godly man and is now in the mansion of God's choosing. He will be deeply missed here on earth.

I knew Rev. Rea in the early 1970s when he pastored in Holden, Missouri. I was a graduate student at the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg at the time, and worked part-time as a police officer in Holden. Pastor was a very fine man, and a compassionate and dedicated pastor. I am sorry to hear of his passing, but know that he is in Glory with his Lord. My condolences to all the family.

I knew Carl from the 1st Grade at Robberson Elementary, and we were good friends throughout school. My last contact with him was when we graduated from Senior High together in Springfield. My lasting impression of Carl was that he was a kind, compassionate, good person. I didn't know he had become a pastor, but I always thought he might.
