Carl was also in my 3rd year French class at Shaw, but I remember him best from being in the 8th grade Chorus together. I sat next to him and we'd talk and tell stories. He had a strong voice and a good ear. I had neither, so I was just trying to coast by latching onto whatever he was doing. I'm sorry to hear of his passing. I really liked him, he had a real sense of integrity about him. Please extend my deepest condolences to his family.

He had a strong voice and a good ear; I had neither, so sitting next to him, I'd just try to coast by, latching onto whatever he was doing. I'm sorry to hear he's gone.
