Not sure what to say?

I met Grandpa Carl shortly after I met my lovely wife in late 1997. I thought Carl couldn’t remember my name as he referred to me as “young fella.” It didn’t take long, however, to realize the warmth and kindness of his heart. Grandpa Carl had glowing affection and kindness for those he was fond of. Grandpa, your kindness and later love for me I will never forget. I always enjoyed seeing you and being in your company. I am a better person for knowing you and wish we could have spent more time...

Dear Carl,

I will never forget the blessed day meeting you through your amazing Grand Daughter Victoria on her special Wedding day. We had a instant connection, I think WE both realized how magical life can be at times when you stop and really look around. We had an incredible conversation, until I jumped into "Seabiscuit" mode & took over as "Event Coordinator for the Wedding." When things calmed down again, you asked me to dance as if to say..."Good job well done, now it's time...

When I think of Grandpa Carl, I think of "Grandpa Funny!" Thank you, Grandpa Funny, for all of the times that you transported me into another world and made me laugh...belly laugh, in fact. One of my favorites was the one where you were exploring the depths of the jungles of Africa in search of something elusive and then, all of a sudden, you encountered a wild swarm of killer bees. Regardless of the story, it seems that you were always trying to make us smile. I loved that. As I got...

True heroes are not found in comic books, Hollywood movies, or sport arenas. They exist as everyday people who sacrifice everything they have and everything they are in order to make the lives of whom they love better and to help them see the light. My grandfather is a true hero. I have never met a more caring, loving, wise, compassionate, responsible, and pious man as my grandfather. My beautiful father, Mike, who passed away in 2004 would echo this sentiment. Dad, grandpa is with you...

Our beloved mighty Grandpa! I am mindful of how you lived life here with humility, compassion, and integrity. I absolutely loved your smile and infectious laugh...so many laughs and smiles linger in my heart. When I think of you my mind drifts to your tales on the moon and miraculous adventures. As an adult the stories evolved into treasured life lessons. I will fondly remember listening to your tape cassette of Nat King Cole while sharing apple pie with you. I was thrilled to hear you...

The sweetest and most giving grandfather in this world! He was so loved by many! I will miss him dearly. He is in a better place now and most likely playing a round of golf right now! I love you grandpa! -Adam
