I never new Carl personally, but he struck me out more than once. When he got 2 strikes on you he would shout "sit down" on the next pitch. Usually you did. A great pitcher and sounds like a nice guy. Wonderful memories. Rest in peace "Fireball"

On behalf of my father Jack Kimmerle, I would like to send our condolences to the family of Carl "FireBall" Roberts. I remember watching "FireBall" pitch while I was a child growing up, following my father play along with "FireBall". Terribly sorry for your loss, with deepest sympathy. RIP Carl "FireBall" Roberts.
