Carl was a wonderful, generous, at times infuriating Friend. We are sharing his translations & original poetry in our Belle's Players Drama group. We will miss him, a Bronx kid , an original spirit.

Carl was a sometime visitor in my bookshop in Amherst for many years. although I hadn't seen him since closing my shop in 2009. He was so friendly and engaging and never made you feel what you had to say was less important than his thoughts or ideas. He had an easy sense of humor and we had many laughs together. The world will miss his knowledge, experience and caring nature.
