Carl Harris Sewell

Had the opportunity to meet Carl at the end of his life and drive him around his medical appointments thru my transportation business. We had some great times In those rides! Didn´t matter if we talking about his favorite S´mores Ben & Jerry´s ice cream or stopping by The Market tk get a plain roast beef sandwich. I was honored to be able to meet Carl and just have taste of what a great man and free spirit he was. Rest in peace buddy!

Warm memories flowed in as I read this sad news. Carl, Brucie, and a few others founded the AAAC (Albemarle Andiamo Automobile Club) which I joined. I´m not at certain we did anything useful, but we rallied and we talked and we learned about cars. There was a substantial Walter Mitty component as we all thought we might equal Juan Manuel on the track, if only someone would recognize our talents and sponsor a race car, Formula or Sport. There was nobody on this earth I like Carl And nobody more fun. I was one of the lucky ones who has known Carl for the past 70+ years. Oh, the stories I could tell along with others.
