A true icon of liberty and justice. An advocate whose name should never be forgot. He and his wife, Helen championed for the common man throughout their long and blessed lives. And blessed us all with their daughter, who in her own way carried on that great tradition. We are grateful, Carl.

I left California November 1st and four days ago I "had a feeling." Now I know why.

He was my friend, a very helpful legal mentor, and a great guy to sit on a bench in the hall of the Hal of Justice and shoot the breeze until the case was called for one of us. Amazingly, to discuss a legal parallel to something I was doing, he would tell me about a case in which he was involved 30 or 40 years before as if it was 30 of 40 DAYS ago. An amazing mind;...
