Not sure what to say?

I have many wonderful memories of Carl in and around the ORs at Crawford Long. Carl hired me out of anesthesia residency for my first job. He was fun, funny and a calming presence in the OR. A wonderful mentor and a better person. RIP

Jaye, this is your cousin in Atl. Pat Thomas. I love you so much. Please call me. I miss you and Carl so much. I am a patient at Northside Pain clinic in Atl. and you can reach me through them. I would love to come visit you. Please call me or write. I love you and I am so sorry about Carl.

Rest in peace Dr. Smith. I really appreciated your kindness and generosity toward me.

To the entire Smith family, It was a joy getting to know you all especially Dr. Carl. He had such a wonderful sense of humor. He will be missed and remembered. Take care of yourselves. Michele Chapmam

I was honored to know and work with Dr Smith at Crawford Long Hospital. A kind, calm and wise man. We need more like him. RIP

Jaye, I tried to send you a message earlier, but I guess it did not get to you. I am so sorry to hear about Carl. I know how it is to lose a precious spouse and best friend. I know this is a difficult time for you. You can take comfort in the memories of the many years of loving time together. Jack Seed

Dear Jaye and family, So sorry for your loss of Carl. We have many fond "Emory and anesthesia" memories. Gail & John Neeld, Atlanta
