Not sure what to say?

I was under Dick when I was in the Army in Germany . I worked for him when he was executive officer under Bob Mulligan in the 97th FAB. Later in life we met at a reunion of men who served in Wertheim Germany. He was an Officer and a Gentleman. He was well respected by everyone around him and he will be sadly missed.

Such sad news. Our great friend of 60 plus years. We served together, traveled together and laughed together. We will sorely miss him. He will always be in our thoughts. Our prayers and heartfelt sympathy goes to out to his family.

I just learned of Dick's death today. I am so sorry. If I am in the North, I will attend his interment at West Point.

We are saddened by the passing of our brother-in-law, but we know he is with Alma. We have many wonderful fun filled memories of your Dad which will live on forever. Love Uncle Jim and Aunt Patti

I knew your parents from as far back as 20 years when they worked out at the same gyms that I worked at. I saw your dad once and he told me about your mom's passing--of course I was shocked as she was always so healthy. They were such a wonderful couple and so proud of their daughters and small grandchildren at the time. We shared many family stories. I really thought a lot of them.I am so sorry for this sad news of your dad. God Bless your family at this most difficult time.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you. May your hearts be filled with wonderful memories of a life well lived. We loved "Uncle" Dick! He will forever hold a place in our hearts.

Dear All, we are so very sorry we will be unable to make it to Huntsville so quickly. Dick is in our hearts always, and our prayers. He was a truly amazing man, in every respect. He embodied "Strength. Honor. Integrity. Love." He an Alma were soul mates and my sister and I still relish our role in playing matchmaker in L.A.! We would like to try to make the Memorial Service at West Point. Please let us know the date and any other protocols we need to be aware of. We love you and...
