Carl Suggs, age 79, of 401 Third Street Extension, Vienna, died Sunday, October 17, 2010, at his residence. Born in Lanier County, he was the son of the late William Allen Suggs and Mary Rebecca Skinner Suggs. Mr. Suggs retired from John Pitts Construction Company and was the owner of Suggs Trucking Co. He was a member of Pinehurst Baptist Church. Mr. Suggs loved NASCAR and Bluegrass, but his greatest love was his family. Survivors include: Wife: Carolyn Weeks Suggs of Vienna Sons: Greg Suggs (Karen) of Vienna Louie Suggs (Carmen) of Phoenix, AZ Gerald Suggs of Orlando, FL Daughters: Diane Brannen (Rodney) of Vienna Rhonda Barnes (Bruce) of Lake Park Melissa Fore of Cordele Rebecca Rampey (Steve) of Lakeland Donna Kay Futch (Jeff) of Nashville Brother: Junior Allen Suggs of Lakeland Sister: Mary Bell Palmer (Junior) of Ray City Grandchildren: 18 Great Grandchildren: 10 He is also survived by a special family member, Chris Johnson of Vienna. Funeral services will be at 11 AM Wednesday, October 20 in Vienna United Methodist Church with interment in Vienna City Cemetery. The family will greet friends 6 - 8 PM Tuesday, October 19 at the funeral home. Memorial gifts may be made to United Hospice, 708 East 16th Avenue, Cordele, GA 31015. Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home of Vienna has charge of arrangements.
