I was thinking of Aunt Odie today. She made such a positive impact on my life. She really loved Jesus and I remember being a little girl and her reading the Bible to me while sharing her wonderful homemade cakes. She just never grew old, years past and now she is with the Lord. Carl was a fine man and a friend.
For many years he and his family were members of our church. He contributed in so many ways. They left our church sometime back and found a church nearer home. They were so happy there. We talked many times about his teaching. He was so sincere.

I remember our last phone conversation. I had a stroke and he called me. It was a long conversation. It was such a blessing for me.
So many times, he hosted parties for our Sunday School Class....

Carl was always a joy to know and have as a classmate, as we were, both, members of the last graduating class at Berryhill High School, along with his wife, Emily. It has been a great experience to see them at recent class reunions. May God's greatest comfort be with all the family.
