CARL SVEC Jr.

Remembering a wonderful teacher, my fifth grade teacher. I wish our class had known more about you on a personal level.

I remember Carl Svec very fondly. I knew him through my uncle and Carls' friend Dick Wohl. I recall Carl as always soft spoken and friendly. I also recall his wife Dorothy, his kids and his parents. On one of the many hikes my uncle and Carl took, I accompanied them, along with others I cannot remember. Midway a person came up to Carl and said something like, "Carl, great to see you!" and went on to say many more things. Carl responded in a friendly manner but did not say the person's name....

I met Carl Svec, Jr. in October 2000. He was a friendly guy even before I joined the family as his grandson, Karl's wife. I liked that he knew what he liked and didn't like and wasn't afraid to say so. I never had to worry about knowing what he really thought, because he was never fake and always genuine. I loved him very much and he will be greatly missed! I am glad I was able to know him.

Jonathan, I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your dad. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
