Carl Andrew Trayer Jr.
Carl Andrew Trayer Jr., 56, of Waynesboro, passed away Friday, July 16, 2010, at his residence.
Carl was born in Staunton, July 23, 1953, the son of the late Carl Andrew and Anna Lee Swearengin Trayer Sr.
Carl was employed at Invista in Waynesboro since 2004 where he was a member of the fire brigade and was formerly employed at the Waynesboro DuPont Plant.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Debbie J. Trayer; a daughter, Rebecca Kyle and her husband, Troy, of Staunton; and a son, Jonathan "J.W." Trayer of Stuarts Draft; two grandchildren, Kristen Crawford and her husband, Donnie, and Justin Kyle; one great-grandson, Hunter Crawford; a sister, Sandra T. Huffer and her husband, Gary, of Verona; and two nieces, Angela White and her husband, C.D., of Rocky Mount, Virginia, and Stefanie L. Huffer of Charleston, South Carolina.
A funeral service will be held 3 p.m., Monday, July 19, 2010, at the Staunton Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 18 West Frederick Street, with Pastor Matthew Coiner officiating.
Burial will follow at Hebron Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Charles Anderson, Gary Huffer, C.D. White, Tyler Ralston, Bob Fry, and Bob Ralston.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 6 until 7 p.m. Sunday, July 18, 2010, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made, in Carl's memory, to the Waynesboro First Aid Crew, 201 West Broad Street, Waynesboro, VA 22980.
